ATTACKED BY TIGGER

A web site for everyone who has ever been hit in the face by a theme park character, complained about it and got on television.

But especially Jerry.

UPDATE: It's been nearly four years since I created this page to commemorate the alleged attack by Tigger on the hapless Jerry Monaco, Jr. For reasons I am at a loss to explain, I suddenly felt compelled to follow up on the story.

A few days after the event, a video analysis of the complete incident appeared on YouTube, in which it was suggested that Jerry was trying to unzip Tigger's costume.

Then the Teamster's union spoke out in defense on Tigger, alleging that Jerry grabbed him from the back of his costume, cutting off his air supply. The lawyer for the Monaco family, who, predictably, sued Disney, countered that Tigger struck Jerry after becoming "agitated" because Tigger's handler ignored his requests to leave the area.

Evidently the evidence in Tigger's favor was undeniable, because in February 2007 the state attorney's office declined to file charges against Tigger.

At that point, the story goes cold, with no word on whether Tigger, who was suspended by Disney pending an investigation, ever got his job back, whether the Monacos ever got any money from Disney, or whether Jerry ever stopped being a complete ass-face.

If anyone has any updates, I'd like to know.
